Closure Summary

As part of the City of Los Angeles’s Convention Center Expansion and Modernization Project, PCL Webcor A Joint Venture is announcing the upcoming street closure of W Pico Blvd. between LA Live Way and S Figueroa Street in Downtown Los Angeles. This communication serves as notification for the commencement of the daily 24-hour road closure.

When will work begin and end?

The street closure is scheduled to begin on December 4, 2025, and continue through March 31, 2028. In preparation for the Pico Blvd. closure, the streets below will be affected on December 6th and 7th for the implementation of temporary traffic control measures.

  • Pico Blvd between Albany Street and 110 Fwy.
  • Pico Blvd from the 110 Fwy to 400 feet west of Figueroa St.
  • Pico Blvd from 400 feet west of Figueroa St. to Grand Ave.

What time will crews be working?

Typical working hours will be Monday-Friday from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM and Saturday between 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Additional off hours work will be as necessary.

What can I expect?

Work in the area will include, but will not be limited to: Demolition, Underground Utilities, Excavation, Concrete, Foundations, Structural Steel Erection, Building Envelope, Sidewalk and Roadway Improvements, Traffic Control, Earthwork, Asphalt Paving, Roadway Striping, Landscaping.
