LACC Partners with L.A. Neighborhood Land Trust to Spread Native Wildflowers Across Los Angeles
This Earth Month, the Los Angeles Convention Center took its sustainability commitment beyond its campus by teaming up with the Los Angeles Neighborhood Land Trust (LANLT) to help beautify and support biodiversity across neighborhoods throughout Los Angeles County.
The initiative kicked off on Earth Day, when LACC staff assembled over 300 seed pockets -- each filled with soil, compost, and 16 varieties of California native wildflower seeds encased in natural clay -- as part of a team building event. The pockets were then distributed to more than 100 families at LANLT's annual Spring Festival on April 25, reaching community gardens in Koreatown, South Los Angeles, Compton, the San Fernando Valley, and beyond.
The coverage below highlights the initiative as reported by Exhibitor and Conference & Meetings World.
